Water Is a Constant Flow is a research project investigating the impact of environmental events on architecture, focusing on the element of water. I relinquish direct design control to the elements, challenging traditional ceramic crafting techniques to create a series of unique tiles shaped entirely by nature.

Water-Sculpted Textures: Using water jets of varying pressure, the porcelain tile Fluid exhibits a wide range of distinct structures—some recalling wind-sculpted sand dunes, others evoking bleached coral reefs. Fast-moving, thin water streams create dynamic, rhythmic patterns across the material.
Material Exploration: The project explores diverse methods of shaping clay through a mix of digital, manual, and natural processes, including 3D printing, hand-forming, fire, and water pressure.
These investigations into mutable watercourses, mechanical processing, and material properties ultimately culminated in a final collection of tiles literally drawn by nature.
